    Reporting to the Director, Digital Strategy, the Manager, Digital Experience and Marketing is responsible for all aspects of omni-channel digital experience in support of Sheridan’s enrolment goals, and to increase awareness of the Sheridan brand and its programs.  Leading a team of Digital Marketing specialists, the incumbent is a skilled strategic digital marketer and leader, experienced in developing, implementing, tracking and optimizing marketing campaigns across all digital channels.   


    The incumbent builds positive relationships by collaborating with others internally and externally (e.g. various departments and faculties, external partners and creative agencies) using a consultative approach to provide targeted marketing and communication insight and strategy to digital campaigns. The incumbent continually seeks out, applies information on emerging technologies and trends in the digital landscape, and integrates this expertise into the organization’s practices. The incumbent prioritizes Sheridan’s digital efforts to keep Sheridan at the forefront of martech and digital technology.


    Specific Responsibilities Include:


    • Owns/leads the digital content marketing strategy, and works closely with Sheridan Directors (e.g. CPAM, International, OTR, Student Affairs, Faculties) to develop goals, plans, and priorities for the organization’s digital marketing initiatives
    • Plans/executes, in consultation with Directors, a wide variety of digital marketing and paid social media initiatives to support strategic objective (e.g. enrolment, brand, business development, revenue generation)
    • Collaborates with others to develop digital strategies and content (e.g. internal departments, external partners, creative agencies)
    • Develops plans to design, execute, and analyze A/B test and learning regimens and optimizes digital strategies and campaigns based on the resulting outcomes and insights.
    • Leverages analysis, testing and research to ensure digital experiences are integrated to achieve or surpass customer experience and brand objectives.
    • Uses web data to inform improvements and new functionalities to digital properties; shapes direction of new/modified capabilities and digital personalization (in collaboration with web development teams)
    • Oversees/develops Sheridan’s search engine marketing strategy (paid search). Owns growth and optimization of Sheridan’s paid search accounts (e.g. granular keyword research/expansion, ad schedule, search query mining, quality Directs the execution of digital initiatives and campaigns to ensure a superior student digital experience
    • Identifies, articulates and uses student insights, deepens understanding of student persona and journey mapping, and makes connections across digital channels to ensure efforts are driving impact with key customer targets
    • Represents digital marketing on Web Governance working group and acts as a digital experience advocate to influence website enhancements that delivers value to external audiences (e.g. prospective students, alumni)
    • Grows a network of external content development resources, and supports their work with in-house staff through training, consultation and knowledge sharing
    • Ensures premium digital user experience while upholding best in class procedures, best practices and stringent QA processes for all digital content development and digital campaign implementation. score, other testing levers)
    • Supports e-mail marketing programs by planning and optimizing communication on behalf of student recruitment goals and other initiatives and content for digital channels
    • Leads Sheridan’s digital competitive analyses, ongoing consumer review, monitoring and response
    • Plans and manages paid search campaigns and other online advertising opportunities through collaboration with external partners and vendors
    • Manages internal client expectations and keeps clients informed of Marketing & Brand Strategy systems, processes and development
    • Manages relationships with all College academic and corporate services departments to ensure their needs as clients are met





    The Successful candidate will possess a 4-year bachelor’s degree or a 3-year diploma /degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Advertising or a related field. Along with postgraduate certificate in digital marketing (Digital Media, Web Analytics, analytic Software training, Google AdWords or Google analytics certification). A minimum of 7 years of previous job related experience is required. In-depth working experience in E-Marketing, Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related profession: including 3 years working in a leadership capacity. Solid background in email marketing, digital advertising and paid search. Experienced in Content Management systems and digital performance tracking/measurement tools. Experience consulting with internal or external stakeholders to develop and recommend solutions. Demonstrated success in, building brands through digital mediums. Skilled at integrating multichannel strategies and digital analytics. Adept in performance measurement and reporting. Experience with Google Analytics and Google Ads (preferred). Highly proficient in MS Office, WordPress, managing multiple WordPress plugins.
