Sheridan is looking for outstanding individuals to join our faculty team. The successful candidate will teach a range of courses within the School of Community Studies including Social Service Worker, Social Service Worker Gerontology, and Community Outreach Worker Programs. We seek a candidate with a strong connection to Indigenous people and or communities and who apply an Indigenous framework to research and relevant social and community development practice. An anti-oppressive approach to social work and community development which places strong emphasis on social transformation and change to promote equity and social justice is required.
Sheridan faculty provide academic leadership to programs and courses within their areas of expertise and contribute to the creation of a learning-centered environment where students can develop to their full potential. They also contribute to College, Faculty and program excellence by collaborating on a variety of initiatives such as new program development, applied research and alternative delivery strategies.
