Reporting directly to the Athletic Director, the incumbent is charged with the daily operation of the Athletic Centre and field for all recreational, fitness and intercollegiate needs. The incumbent balances student needs with a demand for use by the community and the coinciding revenues and expenditures and is responsible for all rental agreements, contracts, tenants as well as short and long-term maintenance of the facility and field.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
The successful incumbent will possess a 2-year diploma in Business, Accounting, Recreational Facility Administration, or related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in facility management, including hands-on experience with building maintenance and operation of indoor and outdoor recreational spaces (or a relevant combination of education and related work experience). Knowledge and practical applications in floor resurfacing, fitness equipment repair, field ground maintenance and other hands-on operational skills for facility operations will be considered an asset. Experience with, or as part of, an Intercollegiate Varsity Team will be considered an asset. The successful candidate will have well developed communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and set priorities.
