The position reports to the Associate Dean, Career Education and Co-Curricular Learning and is a member of the WIL Hub team project team. He/she provides a lead role in the implementation of a new learning management platform for Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) and Experiential Learning (EL) at Sheridan.
The incumbent is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and launching the new software for a new work-integrated and experiential learning platform. He/she works closely with key stakeholders in Student Affairs (Co-op, Career Services, and Co-curricular Record) and other areas of Sheridan (Faculty partners) to assess current business needs, provide recommendations, and to develop and implement process improvements as part of transferring to a new IT solution.
The incumbent is also involved in other WIL Hub projects and has specific responsibility towards data collection, analysis, and report generation. He/she provides business data intelligence through the creation of reports and data analysis of the WIL related database(s). The incumbent will demonstrate advanced organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with partners across Sheridan. He/she researches, evaluates, plans and recommends business and technical solutions for WIL Hub and other key stakeholder’s initiatives and services.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
The successful candidate must possess a 3-year diploma or degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field of study along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate must have a strong working knowledge of database technologies and tools such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Access, or PeopleSoft. The candidate should be well versed with planning, coordinating, and tracking projects; Experience in analyzing business practices, gathering/documentation, and providing reports for management. Good interpersonal skills and experience providing service to clients, managing clients’ expectations, and providing alternative solutions. Strong networking skills, and experience networking across large organizations to build trust and good working relationships. The following will be considered an asset: Business Analyst Certificate, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certificate, Project Management Certificate, and experience working in a post-secondary environment.
